Is She For Real???
I like Holly Robinson Peete, don't get me wrong, but yesterday I watched The Talk and was disappointed in the fact that she said she believes it's ok to lie to your kids. What?!? Are you kidding me? Maybe I'm too liberal or something, I don't know, but I just don't think it's ok to lie to your kids. And yes, I'm not a mom yet, but still....I can't see myself lying to them once I do have children. I just think there's something completely wrong with that. I think you have to raise your kids to eventually grow up to be functioning, intelligent, good contributing members to society, and I don't see how lying to them falls into that mix. I get maybe not telling them the entirety of your escapades and life experiences that led you to gain the wisdom of adulthood, but I think you should still share certain pieces of those experiences with your kids so they can understand what you went through, how to maybe learn from the experiences you've gone through by having open conversations with them, and how to understand that they don't need to make the same mistakes you have - but if they do, then you won't think less of them and they can always come to you no matter what because you yourself aren't perfect. I don't know about everyone else, but that's how I want to raise my future children. I just don't see any integrity in lying to your kids. I also think that people who do lie to their kids are setting themselves up for a major issue later down the road when your child eventually finds out that you lied to them - which they will, because the truth always prevails and will always find a way to eventually come out. We've all been lied to in the past and we all know how that feels. Now imagine that coming from your parent! How would that feel?
If you didn't catch yesterday's episode and you're interested, you can find it here. (You have to scroll to minute 10:59)
P.S. I LOVE what Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini's take on this was. I completely agree with them!

Girls Night Out - Amen Sisters!
Check this video out. It's hilarious!
Isn't Sharon's laughter hysterical...and contagious?!? And Amen to what Holly says about how every hard working woman needs girl time aka a girl's night out. I swear by that. I think you HAVE to have girl time with your friends. Your hubby or boyfriend can't be the only person you hang out with all the time. I'd personally go crazy if that was the case. I need to vent to my girls sometimes, and I NEED to be able to have that silliness you can share with girlfriends, that you just can't always share with your significant other.

Sloan From Entourage
I love Emmanuelle Chriqui's character, Sloan, in the HBO series Entourage. She has stunning looks and is always dressed adorably. I find myself watching the show and lusting after her wardrobe. I wonder who her stylist is (?) because whoever it is, I happen to think they're doing a great job and have a wonderful fashion sense! Would you agree?
