Skunk Hair Stinks!

So what's up with the skunk hair trend? I don't get it. I don't see it quite as often as I used to, but I do still occasionally see someone sportin' a Pepe Le Pew 'do. This is NOT fashionable people! It's ugly. There's nothing natural about having big 'ol chunks of blonde hair paired with big 'ol chunks of black hair. It's ugly and not something that someone with a good sense of style would do to themselves. Let's try something like this instead:

Pink Clown Hair

This is ugly, ladies. Pink hair extensions or pink dye is not fashionable to put in your hair. I guess it's fine if you're a punk rocker chick, but still, it's ugly in my opinion. It looks trashy to me and sort of like a clown. Wear pink anywhere else you'd like, just don't wear it in your hair!

Um NO!

This is just WRONG! A chest tattoo is NEVER fashionable in my opinion. I happen to think tattoos are ugly to begin with. (And yes, I DO have one - a tiny little butterfly on my leg near my ankle. And yes, I think it's ugly!) But even more ugly than just a plain old tattoo, is a tattoo sprawled out across your chest...especially if you're a girl. It's hideous and not cute at all. Ladies, please don't do this to yourselves. As women, our chests are sacred. That's the place our children rest their heads. It's the part of us that entices the appetite of our significant others. It's not a place to use as a canvas for some ugly ink. Please, if you want to adorn your chest with something, choose a necklace, not a tattoo! Let's try being ladies, not sailors!

Thick Or Thin? Loads vs. Just A Bit

Too much makeup is not a pretty thing. Makeup should enhance your natural, beautiful features, not make you look like you're ready to join the circus, be Marilyn Manson's side kick, or be workin' in a strip joint. For example, this is not so cute:

These looks, however, are subtle and add a bit of color to make already pretty faces stand out a bit more. The makeup on these ladies looks natural and probably takes a lot less time to apply than all those layers loaded on the ladies in the previous pictures. Take a look:

Hoochie Mama Dresses

There are mini dresses out there that are actually flattering, aren't tacky, and won't make you look like a hoochie mama or like you should be walking up and down the local strip. These are not those kind of dresses, in my opinion:

These dresses, however, are very classy and very cute. They're styled nicely and are short, yet ladylike. I'd take any of the following:

Bling Does Not = Better

This is NOT cute, people! The embellished jean really never was that fashionable in my opinion. I just think it looks tacky. This look was very popular in L.A. for a while, but is a trend that began to fade around 2007. It's 2010; almost 2011 ladies and gents. Get rid of the blingy jeans you have in your closet. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones that look similar to these:

And let's replace them with something classier and more flattering. There's something to be said about simplicity and a nice cut. The term less is more comes to mind. Jeans are meant to be low key. Let your overall look and accessories do the work for your jeans. And if you want to add a pop or bit of flare to your denim, then try doing that with a colorful yet tasteful pair of heels to accompany your outfit; or wear your jeans with a nice pair of boots; or choose a darker color of denim. Just leave the bling alone!! Here are some nice jean ideas for you (P.S. Notice NO bling!):
